JACKSONVILLE—The top-ranked Jax State bowling team was honored by the National Tenpin Coaches Association with multiple team and individual statistical leader awards.
The Gamecocks swept the seven team categories and five of the six individual categories.
Freshman
Gianna Brandolino won three of the individual awards, leading the nation in traditional frame average (22.53), strike percentage (59.9%), and overall spare conversion percentage (81.3%).
Emma Yoder recorded the top Baker frame average at 22.38 and the top Baker double percentage at 65.1%.
Jax State posted the top win-loss percentage at 91.2%, traditional frame average at 21.34, and team Baker frame average at 21.51. The Gamecocks also had the No. 1 team Baker double percentage at 57.2%, team strike percentage at 56.4%, team single-pin spare conversion percentage at 93.7%, and team overall spare conversion percentage at 75.1%.
The NTCA will release its All-America teams and other annual awards on Thursday at the NCAA Women's Bowling Championship banquet.
Jax State will open up the National Collegiate Bowling Championship Final Four on Friday at 8 a.m. Central Time against Wichita State in Parma Heights, Ohio.
