Jacksonville State opened the 2025 part of its bowling schedule with a fourth place finish at the Northeast Classic, hosted by Sacred Heart University.

The Gamecocks went 4-1 during Baker play on Friday which was highlighted by an 1128 team score against Adelphi. The team swept traditional play on Saturday with
Erin Klemencic posting a 225 average and earned all-tournament team honors.
Dannielle Henderson had a 221.8 average with a 276 to open the day against Duquesne.

During Sunday's best-of-seven matches, top seeded Nebraska was a 4-2 winner over Jax State, despite a 216.7 match average. The Gamecocks won the second and third matches to take the lead and posted a 246 in the third, only to be outdone by two pins.

The Gamecocks moved to the third-place match against Arkansas State after falling in four to Youngstown State. Jax State took the first two games 247-204 and 229-223. Arkansas State took the third 214-213, then cruised to win the next three and take the match 4-2.

Jax State will be back in action next weekend in Texas at the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington.
