
From Jerseys to Suits: Jax State Alumni Career Panel

JACKSONVILLE – Jax State's Student-Athlete Development office hosted a career panel at the Merrill Hall Auditorium on January 14.
The panel featured Jax State student-athlete alumni who shared about their jobs and career journeys. The panel, speaking to current Jax State athletes, shared advice on ways to take their unique skills learned through sports and market them to future employers.
Each alumnus was able to offer a different perspective on their life after being a student-athlete and how Jax State prepared them for success after graduation.
The event's panel featured former golfer Layne Dyar '19 (Southern States Bank), track and field's Ashton Coats '22 (Jax State Athletics) and Danielle Moss '15 (WXIA-Atlanta), football's Alphonso Freeney '10 (Saks High School) and Curt Porter '10 (Alabama Game & Fish Division), and softball alum, Hayley Sims '19 (Jax State Softball).
