Head Coach Julie Boland looks to lead Jax State into their second fall season under her tenure on Friday with a matchup against perennial NJCCA powerhouse Wallace State.
The 2025 Gamecock roster features 15 returners, five freshman and two transfers. Jax State will begin the fall slate in Jacksonville on Friday before traveling to Oxford on Saturday for the nine-team event.
The Tera Ross Memorial Tournament named in the memory of former Jacksonville State pitcher Tera Ross, a three-time letterwinner that was tragically killed in an automobile accident just before her senior season.
As a junior in 2003, Ross led the team with a 1.17 earned run average, still the third-lowest in school history. She ranks in the top five in Jacksonville State's career record books in four categories: strikeouts, innings, wins and games started. Her No. 31 is prominently featured throughout the Gamecock program.
Jax State will play two contests at 10 a.m. and noon on field one against Shelton State and Faulkner respectively.
The Gamecocks will also host Northeast Alabama on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at Choccolocco Park in Oxford.
