Jonesboro, Ark. – After suffering a loss at the hands of Arkansas State on Monday, the Jax State Men's Basketball team looks to avenge the loss in a Wednesday contest against North Dakota State.

Jax State stumbled in the opening contest of the Arkansas State MTE, falling to the host Red Wolves 74-63 on Monday night. The Gamecocks trailed by as many as 17 before cutting the ASU lead to just six in the final two minutes, but were unable to come away with the victory.
Jaye Dropping Dimes
On Wednesday, Nov. 19 against South Alabama, sophomore point guard
Jaye Nash finished with 12 assists, a new career high. Nash surpassed his previous career high of 10 assists and became the first Gamecock to finish with 12 or more assists since Malcolm Drumwight had 12 against Fort Valley State on January 10, 2017.
Looking to Make it Three
Mostapha El Moutaouakkil leads Conference USA so far this season with 21.0 points per contest. The senior from Rabat, Morocco set a new career high with 33 points earlier this year against Coastal Carolina. Jax State has finished the previous two years with the CUSA scoring leader. Kyky Tandy led CUSA in scoring in 2023-24 with 17.8 PPG while
Jaron Pierre Jr. led CUSA last year with 21.6 PPG.
AC For Three

AC Bryant knocked down eight threes against South Alabama, setting a new career high. Bryant is the only Gamecock to hit at least five threes in a game this season and has done so twice. The senior from Shreveport leads Jax State with 16 made three pointers on 39 attempts.
Gamecocks Aim to Bounce Back
Jax State is looking to avoid its first three-game losing skid since the end of the 2023-24 season when the Gamecocks lost four straight. JSU only lost consecutive games once last season, in the Boardwalk Battle MTE.
