Cam Cook was selected as one of five finalists for the 2025 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.
The award was created in 2012 by the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler which recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity. To be eligible, a player must have played football and graduated from a Texas high school and or is playing at a four-year Division I Texas college.
Cook was named the Conference USA Player of the Year and the league's newcomer of the year after leading the league in rushing (127.6) and all-purpose (149.6) per game. The Round Rock native leads the Football Bowl Subdivision in total rushing at 1,659 yards.
The two-time Conference USA Player of the Week rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown in every regular season conference game and leads FBS in carries for at least 10 yards with 53.
Cook joins Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King, Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy, North Texas quarterback Drew Mestemaker, and Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed as finalists.
