JACKSONVILLE—Jax State will make its third consecutive bowl game appearance on December 16^th in Montgomery at the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl.
 
The Gamecocks will take on Troy University on Tuesday, December 16^th at 8 p.m. at Cramton Bowl. The game will air on ESPN.
 
"We are excited to continue our season and look forward to competing one more time in our home state," said coach Charles Kelly. "This is an exciting matchup for our fans and look forward to a great crowd in Montgomery."
 
Jax State is 8-5 this season and reached the Conference USA Championship for the second consecutive season. Troy is also 8-5 and played in the Sun Belt Championship game last night. This will be the 64^th meeting all-time between the Gamecocks and the Trojans. Despite having not played each other since 2001, Jax State hasn't played a team more than Troy in its history.
