BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Jax State Track & Field program is set to open up the 2025-26 season on Friday in Birmingham by participating in the Icebreaker Invitational. It is the first of three indoor meets in Birmingham this season.

Icebreaker Invitational
The 2025 Icebreaker Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex is set to be the opener for Jax State this track & field season. The Gamecocks will participate on Friday, Dec. 5 beginning at 8:30 a.m. before taking a month off, returning on Jan. 16.
Sweet Home Alabama
Jax State has three indoor meets set to take place in the Yellowhammer State, including the Samford Invitational and UAB Blazer Indoor also in Birmingham. Jax State will also participate in the Crimson Tide Invitational during outdoor track & field season on April 10 in Tuscaloosa.
Indoor Slate
The 2025-26 Jax State Indoor schedule features five regular season meet, three of which take place in Birmingham. Following the Icebreaker Invitational, the Gamecocks will participate in the Samford Invitational, Lenny Lyles Invitational, UAB Blazer Indoor and Music City Challenge before participating in the Conference USA Championship in Lynchburg.
Outdoor Schedule
The Jax State Outdoor Track & Field schedule also has five regular season meets, beginning on March 21 with the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta. It is one of two regular season meets in Atlanta, joined by the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 17. Rounding out the regular season is the Knights Invitational in March, Crimson Tide Invitational in April and the Music City Challenge in May. The CUSA Outdoor Championship is in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
