LYNCHBURG, Va. – Chidinma Margaretmary Agu placed third in the 400m at the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday, Agu ran the second fastest 400m time in program history, edging out her own time of 54.64 in which she set during yesterday's prelims.
Agu now holds the top three spots in program history in the 400m dash, the program record having been set at the UAB Vulcan Invite. Six of the top ten 400m times in program history have been set this season.
Five Gamecock individuals participated in the 3000m finals, led by graduate student
Emily Coddington placing 20
th with a 10:08.82 time, the second-best time in program history. Freshmen

th) and

th) also ran in the event while transfer
Charity Mabuza rounded out Jax State in 31
st.
Jax State closed out the track portion of the afternoon with a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 relay, finishing just under two seconds faster than both Middle Tennessee and Liberty.

Emma Drinkard and Agu helped Jax State to a 3:45.18 finish.
The relay team finished just six tenths of a second behind the program record and turned in the best mark in the 4x400 since 2012.
Jadyn Bonds and
Cayla Johnson were the lone two Gamecocks to participate in field events on Saturday, both making an appearance in the high jump. Bonds placed 11
th in the event, jumping a 5' 4 ½" mark while Johnson, fresh off a fourth-place finish in yesterday's pentathlon placed 13
th with a 5' 2 ½".
