Men’s Golf Continues to Pawley’s Island

JACKSONVILLE—The Jax State men's golf team is down to its final three tournaments of the season as it heads to True Blue Golf Club in South Carolina for the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge.
The Gamecocks are coming off of a third-place finish last week at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at RTJ Magnolia Grove behind a great weekend from Santiago Bailleres who was nine-under for the 54-hole tournament. This season, he now has an adjusted scoring average of 72.
Last season, Jax State was 14th at this tournament with Ryley Heath tying for 15th in the field with a one-under total of 143 (72-71) with the tournament shortened to 36 holes due to weather. The team also played the same course in the fall of 2023 with a seventh-place finish with a team score of -17 for 54 holes. Gabriel Restrepo was five-under for the tournament and placed 25th.
Included in this weekend's field are Valparaiso, which Jax State tied with last week, North Alabama, Marshall, Connecticut, and West Georgia.
