DALLAS, TX. – Two Jax State women's tennis players were selected for Conference USA post season awards thanks to their efforts in 2025. Senior
Zuzana Pavelekova was named after the All-CUSA Singles Second Team, and freshman
Lea Erenda was tabbed for the All-CUSA Freshman team.
Pavelekova impressed all season on her way to a team-best 11-3 singles record. Pavelekova had wins against Presbyterian, Eastern Kentucky, Alabama A&M, Florida A&M, North Alabama, Lipscomb, Sam Houston, Murray State, West Florida, Tennessee State, and Middle Tennessee throughout the spring.
Pavelekova's singles mark also helped the Gamecocks to a 51-33 record as a team in singles and a 10-8 record on the year. To add to Pavelekova's incredible season in singles, she also added a 5-2 record in doubles.
Erenda was a standout freshman for the Gamecocks who collected a 5-9 singles record playing in the No. 1 and 2 slots. Erenda earned victories over Samford, Eastern Kentucky, Alabama A&M, Florida A&M, Wallace State-Hanceville, and Tennessee State.
The freshman from Austria was also a major contributor in doubles as she went 6-6 and helped Jax State to a 27-18 doubles record as a squad.
The Gamecocks' season ended on April 17 in a 4-0 loss to Middle Tennessee in the quarterfinals of the 2025 CUSA Women's Tennis Championship Tournament.
