OXFORD, Miss. – Jax State continues its outdoor season this weekend by participating in the Joe Walker Invite on April 4-5 in Oxford, Miss. hosted by Ole Miss. Jax State is coming off of a UAB Spring Invitational performance with several notable program marks.

Gamecocks Set New Marks at UAB Spring Invite
Jax State performed well at the UAB Spring Invite last weekend. As a team, Jax State had 20 top five finishes as a team, including three additional top five performances in team relays. Of the top five performances, two program records were set while two individuals took home event titles.
Tucker Sets New Program Record

Hailey Tucker set a new program record this weekend in the 400m hurdles at the UAB Spring Invitational. Tucker's mark of 58.93 is not only the best time in program history, but also set a new facility record at UAB.
Yates Reaches New Heights
Savannah Yates joined Tucker by making history last weekend at the UAB Spring Invitational, clearing a height of 4.05m in the pole vault and earning second place in the event. Yates surpassed
Kayley Stanley's mark which she set the week prior.
Jimeno Named CUSA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Bethelhem Manzano Jimeno earned Jax State's first CUSA Outdoor Track & Field weekly award of the season, being named the Conference USA Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Falcon Classic on March 14-15. Jimeno took first in the women's 800 meter-race clocking a time of 2:16.48. Her time marked the eighth best time in program history and a career second-best time in the event.
Gamecocks Close Historic Indoor Season
Jax State ended up setting five new program records in the indoor this spring, including the 400m, pole vault and 5000m. Alongside the five new program records, Jax State had 35 performances that landed on the program's top 10 list.
What's Next?
Jax State travels to Atlanta, Ga. for the second time this outdoor season for the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 18-19. Jax State also sent athletes to the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Georgia Tech on March 21.
