Three Earn All-Conference USA Women’s Golf Honors

DALLAS—Jax State women's golf had three players honored by Conference USA for their performance during the 2024-25 season.

Rebekka Stutley was named the league's freshman of the year and landed on the all-conference second team. In five tournaments this season, Stutley recorded five Top 15 finishes highlighted by a sixth-place showing in her collegiate debut at the Advance Golf Partners Invitational. The Adelaide, Australia native was 11th at the Conference USA Championship at World Golf Village.

"I have been so impressed by all that Bekky has accomplished so quickly," said coach Robbie Fields. "She was an instant difference-maker for our team when she joined us in January and not only performed exceptionally, but was a boost of positive energy we needed. I am so proud of the way she persevered through her first semester of college and am excited to see her continue to grow and impress us each day."

Stutley had four rounds at or under par this season.

Earning third team honors were Lara El Chaib and Rachel Camp. El Chaib had four Top 10 finishes as a freshman which included a third-place finish at the Conference USA Championship with a four-under 54-hole total. In 29 rounds, the Abu Dhabi native had the highest par percentage on the roster at nearly 65% and the lowest bogey percentage at 21.5%.

"Lara's season was definitely highlighted by her performance at the CUSA Championship, which was a long time coming because of the detail and intent of her practice and preparation throughout the season," said Fields. "She expects so much of herself but has learned to accept how good she is without having to be perfect. I am so proud of her growth in her freshman year and look forward to even more special performances and accomplishments from her."

Camp posted an adjusted scoring average of 75.5, playing in all 34 rounds for the team this season. The redshirt sophomore from Peachtree City, Ga. had four Top 15 finishes with her best score of the season coming at The Ally hosted by Mississippi State where she shot even over 54 holes.

"Rachel has worked so hard and with such discipline the past three years, and I am so proud of the progress she has made," said Fields. "I appreciate her consistent effort for her team—being the one constant to tee it up in every event this season which was very valuable. She has earned this recognition, but I know she is not satisfied and is committed to getting even better for next season."

As a team, the Gamecocks were the runner-up at the Conference USA Championship and posted a total of five top three finishes during the season.

"We are excited by the performance of our young players leading this team, especially our two freshmen stepping up so quickly," said Fields. "It's a testament to a lot of hard work and dedication. It is promising to add and return more great players to this group and I am excited to compete again next season."
