JACKSONVILLE—Senior bowler Anna Warkel was named to the Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average above 3.5 and have been in the lineup for over 75% of matches played.
 
Warkel earned Second-Team All-America honors, finishing in the top 10 of the National Tenpin Coaches Association Player Composite Performance Index. She also earned Third-Team All-Conference USA and posted a 212.1 traditional average and a 206.7 average in Baker play.
 
Additionally, she was named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for having a grade point average above 3.75.
 
Warkel is now eligible for Academic All-America honors to be announced later this summer.
