Packanik Promoted to Associate Head Coach

JACKSONVILLE—Jax State baseball coach Steve Bieser promoted Tyler Packanik to associate head coach and recruiting coordinator earlier today.

Packanik helped the Gamecocks make the third-biggest jump in win total in all of college baseball last season, helping Jax State go 37-25 and make its first appearance in the Conference USA Championship game.

"Tyler has been an incredible asset to this program since the day he arrived," said Bieser. "His wealth of knowledge, work ethic, and ability to coach and connect with our players have been instrumental to our success. He is a relentless recruiter and excellent evaluator of players that fit our style of play."

Last year's team finished in the top 30 nationally in stolen bases with 120 which was the third-most in program history and the first time in nearly 40 years a Jax State team had more than 100 stolen bases in a year.

In recruiting, the Gamecocks compiled a Top 100 high school class, checking in at 82 according to Perfect Game, and the No. 2 Junior College recruiting class according to Juco Baseball Blog. The 2026 class has the Gamecocks as the highest-ranked mid-major class in Alabama with Perfect Game putting the group 54th nationally.

"This promotion is a reflection of his dedication to Jax State Baseball and I'm excited to continue building this program alongside him," said Bieser.
