Stanley Campbell was named Conference USA's Men's Golfer of the Week after an impressive showing at the Seminole Intercollegiate this week.
Campbell took fourth in the field at Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 213 (-3). After a four-over round of 76 to start the tournament, Campbell posted 67 in the second round with seven birdies and an eagle. In the third round, when the average score in the 112-player field was north of 76, the junior posted a two-under 70 on the 7,505 yard course.
Campbell was second in the field in Par 3 scoring at 2.75 (-3) and was tied for third in the field in Par 5 scoring at 4.58 (-5). His 13 birdies were third-most in the field.
This season, Campbell has a 70.85 18-hole average which leads the team. His 80 birdies this year also leads the roster.
The Gamecocks will be back in action next week at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate.
