DALLAS, Texas – Jax State tennis had two players named to the 2026 CUSA Men's and Women's Tennis All-Academic Teams.
Irene Artigas was honored for the women's team, and
Lucius Soller was chosen from the men's team.
Artigas has maintained a 3.92 GPA while working towards her degree in Management. Artigas has participated in every match this season and accumulated a 9-1 singles record and a 10-2 mark in doubles. Artigas has helped the Gamecocks to a 27-14 doubles record and a 44-31 singles record this season.
Artigas's academic achievements include being awarded the CUSA Academic Medal all four years at Jax State, being named to Jax State's President's List in Fall of 2023 and Spring of 2025, named to the Dean's List in Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Fall 2025, and being named to the CUSA Honor Roll each year as a Gamecock.
Soller has maintained a 3.88 GPA while majoring in Accounting. He has participated in 81.3% of Jax State's matches this season where he has tallied a 2-0 record in singles and a team-best 11-4 record in doubles. Soller has helped Jax State to a 16-3 record this season, a 30-14 mark in doubles, and a 67-23 record in singles.
Soller's academic achievements are highlighted by being awarded the CUSA Academic Medal for four consecutive years at Jax State. Soller also was named to the President's List in Spring 2022, Fall 2022, Fall 2023, Spring 2025, and Fall 2025. He was on the Dean's List in Spring 2023 and Fall 2024. Soller, like Artigas, has also been on the CUSA Honor Roll every academic year in Jacksonville.
