JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Jacksonville State men's tennis continued its outstanding fall campaign this past weekend, collecting an impressive number of victories against some of the nation's top programs at two separate tournaments in Georgia and Alabama.

Leading the way once again was Marko Milosavljevic, who continued his impressive fall season with four singles victories and two doubles wins at the Rome Tennis Center Collegiate Invitational in Rome, Georgia.

The Conference USA September Player of the Month picked up where he left off following his impressive quarterfinal run at the ITA Southern Regional Championships earlier this month.

Milosavljevic put together another dominant weekend, defeating opponents from four SEC programs.

He opened with a straight-set victory over Tennessee's Alan Bojarski (6-4, 6-2) before knocking off Nikolas LSU's Stoot (6-1, 7-6). He continued his weekend with another straight-set win (6-1, 6-2) over Georgia's Oliver Sanders.

Milosavljevic capped off his singles performances with a hard-fought victory over Mississippi State's Diego Duran, battling in a three-set contest to earn a 6-0, 3-6, 10-8 win.

Not only did Milosavljevic shine in singles, but he also teamed up with David Krasner to collect two doubles victories against Tennessee. The Gamecock duo defeated Shion Itsusaki and Woodson McMillin (6-4) before cruising past Jose Garcia and McMillin (6-1).

The success in Rome extended beyond Milosavljevic, as Krasner and Aman Dahiya also contributed singles victories.

Krasner delivered an impressive 6-1, 6-2 victory over Vanderbilt's Roshan Santosh, while Dahiya defeated Tennessee's McMillin in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

The Gamecocks also found success in the 2026 Country Club of Birmingham Collegiate Invitational over the weekend.

Zach Murphy and Yago Castellanos Sanchez highlighted the weekend by capturing the doubles draw championship.

The Gamecock duo opened with a 6-4 victory over Samford's Sebastian Harrison and Vitorio Sardinha before defeating Louisiana's Samuel Kyjaci and Gianluca Filoramo, 6-2.

In the championship match, Murphy and Castellanos held a 4-2 advantage over North Alabama's Samuel Balfour Dominguez and Jip Langerhuizen when the UNA pairing was forced to retire due to injury, securing the doubles title for Jax State.

Another Gamecock doubles combination, Ilie Cazac and Joao Barreto, also enjoyed a strong weekend. The duo defeated Tennessee Tech's Kai Inoue and Murilo Burckhardt, 7-5, before earning a convincing 6-2 victory over Kennesaw State's Juan Parrilla and Kyvan Rietkerk.

Castellanos carried his success into singles competition, posting three victories during the tournament.

Castellanos opened with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Louisiana's David Simeonov before defeating Tennessee Tech's Murilo Burckhardt, 7-5, 7-5. Castellanos completed his singles weekend with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory over Southern Miss's Matei Varbanciu.

Joao Barreto matched Castellanos with three singles victories of his own, in two closely contested matches.

Barreto rallied from a set down to defeat Kennesaw State's Konstantinos Megalemos, 3-6, 6-3, 10-3. He followed with another comeback win over Southern Miss's Rasmus Becker, 2-6, 6-4, 16-14, before closing the weekend with a dominant 6-3, 6-0 win over Kennesaw's Kyvan Rietkerk.

Cazac added another singles victory for the Gamecocks, defeating South Alabama's Victor Frumholz 6-0, 6-3.
