DALLAS, Texas – Jax State pitchers Beau Bryans and Steven Cash earned Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

Beau Bryans opened Saturday's game against New Mexico State with his third quality start of the season and his second-consecutive, going 6.1 innings of scoreless baseball. Bryans matched his career high of 10 strikeouts that he set earlier this season. Of his four hits given up on Saturday, only one was an extra base hit, a double. Batters only hit .190 off of him. He pitched the lion's share of a combined shutout to help even the series with the Aggies.

Steven Cash pitched a shutout against New Mexico State to clinch the series on Sunday, winning first place Jax State's sixth CUSA series in seven weeks. The Gamecock starter scattered only four hits across all seven innings that he worked, only allowing a .174 batting average against. Cash also added five strikeouts to his ledger to bump his season total up to 70, a top-five figure in the league. He also lowered his season ERA to 2.76, which is one of the lowest three ERAs in the league.

It is the second weekly honor for both pitchers in 2026. They both become the third and fourth pitchers to earn multiple CUSA Pitcher of the Week honors this season, and the first duo from the same school to be named Pitchers of the Week in the same week.

Jax State returns to action on Tuesday, taking on Samford in Birmingham. This weekend, the Gamecocks will travel to Missouri State in a key CUSA series.
