Four Earn All-CUSA Postseason Honors

DALLAS, Texas – Jacksonville State men's tennis team had multiple athletes honored by Conference USA with postseason awards. The Gamecocks ended the season with an 18-4 record overall, marking the most wins by a Jax State team since the 2008-09 Ohio Valley Conference championship team who went 21-3.

The Gamecocks had two players named to the All-CUSA Singles First Team. David Krasner and Charlie Penman were selected as first team honorees. Krasner led the Gamecocks with a 14-2 singles record and helped Jax State to a 74-28 singles record as a team. Krasner, who played in the No. 2 singles flight, had an impressive win at Georgia Tech where he won in three sets in a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 final on Feb. 20.

Penman went 10-7 on the year playing in the No. 1 singles slot. Penman was also chosen as the CUSA Athlete of the Week on Feb. 18 after a 6-0, 6-3 win against Troy. It marked the second athlete of the week award in consecutive seasons. In 2025, Penman was chosen for the award thanks to a 2-0 weekend against Tennessee State and Xavier.

Marko Milosavljevic went 10-2 in singles action, enough to be chosen for the All-CUSA Singles Second Team. Milosavljevic had an incredible win at Alabama on April 4 where he downed the Crimson Tide's Rohan Hazratwala 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Milosavljevic also added a 7-3 record in doubles play.

The final honor for Jax State was the doubles team of Krasner/Timo De Visser being selected for the All-CUSA Doubles Second Team. Krasner went 12-5 overall, while De Visser was 8-6 in doubles, respectively. When paired together, Krasner/De Visser went 6-2. The duo won 6-4 in the regular season finale at Kennesaw State on April 10, then downed New Mexico State 6-4 in the opening round of the CUSA Championship Tournament on April 17. Krasner/De Visser played every match in the No.1 doubles slot.

All the honorees helped Jax State to a historic season in which the Gamecocks received their highest ranking ever by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. On March 17, Jax State entered the ITA rankings at No. 72. Previously, Jax State was ranked as the 100th-best team in the nation by the ITA on Feb. 20, 2018. Jax State's final match was in the semifinals of the CUSA tournament.
