DALLAS—Jax State freshman pitcher Makenna Moore was named Conference USA's Pitcher of the Week after picking up a pair of wins over the weekend.
 
This is the second pitcher of the week award for Moore. She's also been named the league's freshman of the week twice this year.
 
In two appearances against NM State last weekend, Moore was 2-0 in two complete game wins with 13 strikeouts in 14 innings. She held the Aggies to a .154 batting average against.
 
The Grain Valley, Mo. native is now 7-0 in Conference USA play with a 1.41 league ERA. In 20 total appearances, the freshman is 11-1 with a 2.58 ERA and a save in 97.2 innings.
 
Jax State will travel to Atlanta tomorrow to take on Georgia Tech at 5 p.m. Central.
