Hutto Named All-American by NCBWA, Perfect Game

Hutto becomes first Gamecocks to earn second team All-American honors
JACKSONVILLE – Jax State relief pitcher Skyler Hutto has been named an All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Perfect Game, both associations announced on Wednesday.
The NCBWA named Hutto a Second Team All-American, while Perfect Game named the Trinity native a Third Team member.
Hutto becomes the 16th Division I Gamecock to be named an All-American and 37th total, while the honors become the 19th and 20th Division I All-American honors for Jax State, and 43rd total in program history.
The right-hander earned 12 saves this season, the fourth-most in Division I. Hutto posted a 2.20 ERA with a 6-3 record in 29 appearances. He tallied 41 strikeouts to 19 walks, and only allowed a .164 BAA. Hutto led a bullpen that put up 21 total saves, tied for the most in Jax State's history.
Hutto has a chance to earn another All-American honor when the ABCA announces its All-Americans on Friday.
