Donaghy Claims First CUSA Weekly Honor

DALLAS—Jax State sophomore punter Conor Donaghy was selected as the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in last week's game.
The native of Galbally, Ireland punted five times for an average of 46.4 yards per and landed three inside the North Dakota State 15-yard line, with two of those downed inside the 10.
Donaghy had a long punt of 51 yards, which was downed at the 7-yard line.
His 46.4 yard average in a game is second-best in program history with a minimum of five attempts.
The Gamecocks will host Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at 6 p.m. for their home opener at AmFirst Stadium. Tickets are available at JaxStateSports.com/tickets.
