Men's Tennis Opens Fall Slate at Georgia Gwinnett College

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. – Jax State's men's tennis competes in their first event of the 2026-27 year on Sep. 11-12 when they travel to the Georgia Gwinnett College for the annual Grizzly Invite.
The Gamecocks are taking five players to the tournament. Aman Dahiya, Brayden Helms, Marko Milosavljevic, Zach Murphy, and David Krasner will be making the trip east to Georgia. In doubles, Dahiya and Helms will team up, while Murphy and Milosavljevic will be a pairing. Krasner will team up with a player fromThe Citadel for doubles play.
The event will be an ITA sanctioned tournament and played in a compass draw format, guaranteeing each player appears in three singles matches and three doubles matches across the weekend. The tentative schedule is Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one doubles round and two singles rounds. Saturday the scheduled time is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with two doubles rounds and one singles round. Sunday will be used as a weather day if needed.
The teams and players represented will include The Citadel, North Alabama, Jax State, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and UAB.
The Gamecocks are coming off an 18-4 mark in 2025-26. Jax State downed New Mexico State 4-0 in the first round of the CUSA Championship Tournament on April 17 before falling 4-1 against Liberty in the semifinal round to Liberty on April 18.
Jax State's roster includes three newcomers in Ilie Cazac, Joao Barreto, and Yago Castellanos. Both Barreto and Cazac are sophomore Eastern Kentucky transfers. The lone freshman added to the squad is Yago Castellanos from Zaragoza, Spain.
The Gamecocks five players traveling to the event are the five returners to the fold including four seniors and one sophomore.
Krasner is back for Jax State after the 2025-26 season that saw him named to the All-CUSA Singles First Team. Krasner led the Gamecocks with a 14-2 singles record and helped the Red-and-White to a 74-28 team singles record. He highlighted his season with an impressive win at Georgia Tech where he won in three sets on Feb. 20.
Krasner was also named to the All-CUSA Doubles Second Team after going 12-5 overall. When paired with former Gamecock, Timo De Visser, he was 6-2.
Milosavljevic returns after the 2025-26 season in which his 10-2 singles record was enough to be chosen for the All-CUSA Singles Second Team. Milosavljevic's season included a win at Alabama on April 4 where he defeated the Crimson Tide's Rohan Hazratwala. He also added a 7-3 record in doubles play.
All the post season honorees helped Jax State to a historic 2025-26 season in which the Gamecocks received their highest ranking ever by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. On March 17, Jax State entered the ITA rankings at No. 72. Previously, Jax State was ranked as the 100th-best team in the nation by the ITA on Feb. 20, 2018.
