JSU CAREER: 2020: Saw action out of the bullpen five times and finished with 5.1 innings pitched…finished with seven strikeouts…tossed a season-best 2.0 innings against UAB (Feb. 19) with a pair of clean innings and two strikeouts…named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2019:  Made 27 appearances out of the bullpen and accumulated 30.2 innings of work…assumed the closers role as a sophomore and finished with seven saves…also collected seven wins on the mound…posted 47 strikeouts and opposing batters hit .173 against him…notched wins over Troy, Tennessee Tech, Southeast Missouri, Belmont, SIU Edwardsville and Austin Peay…tossed 2.0-plus innings in nine appearances…posted a season-best five strikeouts versus SEMO on April 5…also fanned four in just 1.2 innings against Tennessee Tech on March 31.

2018: Became a viable late-game option out of the bullpen in his first season with the program…made 19 appearances out of the bullpen and finished with a 3-1 record on the mound and claimed a pair of saves…tossed 33.0 innings as a freshman…accumulated 55 strikeouts and allowed 11 hits by the opposition…opposing batters hit .104 against him and featured an earned run average of 1.91…was named to the 2018 OVC All-Freshman Team …made his Jax State debut against Radford on February 24…threw 4.1 innings in the 14-inning season finale against Eastern Kentucky in the 2018 OVC Baseball Tournament…recorded nine strikeouts in the outing at Choccolocco Park…notched his first win as a Gamecock on March 31 against Murray State…recorded a win after tossing 3.1 innings versus Southeast Missouri on April 13…fanned eight Redhawks in the short stint to pick up  win…registered the third win on April 28 against Eastern Kentucky after pitching the final two frames…claimed his first save against Morehead State on May 5, 2018…closed out the UT Martin contest on May 12 for the second save of the year.

High School: Started his prep career at Twentynine Palms High School in Twentynine Palms, California and finished at Hartselle High School…played for William Booth at HHS…helped the Tigers to an Elite 8 appearance in the Alabama High School Athletic Association State Playoffs in 2017…finished with an overall record of 29-21…played on the travel ball circuit with the 31 North Baseball program out of Birmingham, Alabama…tossed a no hitter and struck out 18 batters in a summer ball contest played at Samford’s Seibert Stadium in June, 2017.

Personal: Born March 4, 1999 in Columbia, South Carolina…the son of Steven and Irica Edwards…majoring in physical education…has two brothers, Thomas and Dylan…named the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Major League Baseball team.
