Biography

JSU CAREER: (2020): Saw action in seven games, patrolling left and right field…made five starts in the outfield and collected 12 plate appearances…registered and RBI single in JSU’s win over Missouri (Feb. 16)…added another RBI with a run-scoring double versus Gardner-Webb (March 1)...named to the 2020 OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2019: Saw action in 57 games and started in 40 games…played all three outfield spots with 18 starts in left field…finished with 28 hits and driving in 30 runs along with scoring 29 times…collected 15 extra base hits, including five home runs…added six doubles and four triples…also had 15 walks and a pair of hit-by-pitches…delivered a walk off grand slam to give JSU a 9-5, 13-inning win over Troy on March 13…posted 12 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI contests…strung together a seven-game hitting streak during the season and reached base in eight consecutive games.

2018: Sat out the season as a redshirt

High School: Prepped at Helena High School…guided the Huskies to three straight postseason appearances in the school’s first three years of existence…HHS was formed in 2014 and by 2016 the baseball program claimed its first Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A State Championship…in three seasons HHS has produced 98 wins, including a 38-6 overall mark in 2016…played for head coach P.J. Guy at HHS…high school teammates with JSU’s Brett Walton…named to the Alabama Sportswriters Association All-State Second Team as a senior…percentage points off of a .400 hitter as a senior with a .398 clip at the plate, including a pair of home runs…collected eight home runs throughout his prep career… had 34 hits in 38 games, finished with a .312 batting average, 42 RBIs and six home runs as a junior …posted a slugging percentage of .532 and an OPS of .916 in 2016…earned All-County recognition by the Shelby County Reporter in 2016…also played football for the Huskies and was named the squad’s most valuable player…tabbed all-district and all-region honors on the gridiron...originally signed with Harding University for football…voted as his class vice president at HHS.

Personal: Born on October 26, 1998 in Albertville, Alabama…the son of Chad and Mendy Adams…majoring in business marketing…has a younger sister, Jaycee.
