JSU CAREER: 2020: Inserted into the Gardner-Webb contest (March 1) and credited with a putout…named to the 2020 OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2019: Saw action in 13 games and started at Jacksonville on February 23…recorded his first hit as a Gamecock against Tennessee Tech on March 30…posted a pair of RBI and scored once.

2018: Sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Prior To JSU: Transferred to Jacksonville State after playing the 2017 season at Alabama A&M in Normal, Alabama…played in 51 games with the Bulldogs and started 48 contests…finished his freshman season hitting .254 and accumulating 43 hits in 169 at bats…recorded 20 RBI and scored 23 runs…collected seven doubles and four home runs at AAMU…delivered home runs in the first two games of his collegiate career in the season-opening series against Fort Wayne…also had home runs against UAB  and against Southwestern Athletic Conference foe Jackson State…posted 11 multi-hit games at AAMU, including three hits against Alcorn State (4/28/17)…threw out 23 runners on the base paths along with a .962 fielding percentage behind the plate.

High School: Played four seasons at Hartselle High School and coached by William Booth…helped the Tigers to 60 wins combined as a junior and senior with the program and a member of the 2013 HHS club that claimed the Class 5A AHSAA State Championship…hit over .370 as a senior at HHS and produced an on-base percentage of .512…finished with 31 RBI…turned in a solid prep career with a .328 career average at the plate and recorded 79 RBI…also posted 84 free passes…named First Team All-State by the Alabama Sportswriters Association in 2016 as a catcher…also garnered First Team All-District honors in 2015 and 2016…placed on the Second Team All-Region in 2016…also played football for the Tigers of HHS…tabbed First Team All-Area as a junior in 2015 and a senior in 2016…turned over 100 tackles in 2014 and 85 in 2015…guided the Tigers to playoff appearances in 2015 and 2016…an honor student at HHS as a member of the National Honor Society and accumulating a 4.0 grade point average and ranked eighth in his class of over 200 classmates.

Personal: Born December 16, 1997 in Birmingham, Alabama…the son of Zeke and Bridgett Malcom…has an older sister, Zana.
