John Beale

John Beale serves Jacksonville State as the Director of Sports Performance for the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. Beale oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning including prehab, rehab, recovery, game day performance preparation and nutritional guidance for both teams. Prior to JSU, he spent two years at USC Upstate as one of two strength & conditioning coaches working with all 15 varsity teams, including men’s and women’s basketball under two different coaching staffs. Beale also spent time at St. Bonaventure University with men’s and women’s basketball during their summer testing and workouts.

Beale was a Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University implementing year-round programming with 10 varsity sports in addition to experience with football and ice hockey. He completed his degree by working with Football utilizing Catapult GPS to produce Return-to-Play protocol for summer camps.

Spent a year at Miami University under two different head strength coaches helping with 19 varsity teams including men’s and women’s Basketball.

He started his career in strength and conditioning in the private sector for three years assisting athletes from middle school to college enhancing their performances across 14 different sports. Beale received his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Michigan State University and Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from University at Buffalo.

He is a certified member with CSCCA (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), USAW (L1SP) while also being a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach.
