Selected to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Team, OVC All-Newcomer Team, OVC All-Tournament Team and was named the OVC Freshman of the Year…played 11 tournaments as a freshman, including representing the Gamecocks in the NCAA Kissimmee Regional…average score was 73.81 over 31 rounds played, ranking him 17thin the OVC in scoring average…shot a season low of 66 at the FAU Spring Championship, where he also shot a final-round 69…best finish was a tie for third at both the Atchafalaya Intercollegiate (75-71-75) and the Ohio Valley Conference Championship (70-70-78)…shot nine rounds of par or better…garnered national attention over the summer, when he became the first Gamecock since 2003 to qualify for the U.S. Amateur…he then became the first JSU player to advance to match play, where he upset the No. ranked amateur in the world, Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss, on national television.
