Shelbie Dailey enters her first season as interim assistant coach of Jacksonville State beach volleyball in the Spring of 2023. Her hiring was announced on March 9, 2023, just ahead of the Gamecocks’ season opener.
Â
Dailey is an associate director for the Alabama Performance Volleyball Club and has been a part of the organization since starting as a strength and conditioning coach in 2014. Over the past nine years, the Trussville native has guided two AAU teams to national championships along with three runners-up and three third-place finishes. This success helped notch her spots in the AVCA's 30 Under 30 lists for indoor (2019) and beach (2021) volleyball.
Â
Dailey was a prep superstar, playing for the USA High Performance Continental Team in 2010 and earning AVCA All American honors in 2011. She signed to play volleyball at the University of South Florida and spent two years in Tampa before concluding her playing career at Mississippi State University.
Â
Dailey and Haars have been married since 2014 and have two sons, Michael Haars, Jr., and Jacob Haars.
