Lillian Humphries joined the Cross Country and Track and Field program in January of 2024 as a Graduate Assistant.
A recent graduate, Lillian is from Cedar Park, Texas, and was a cross country student-athlete at the University of North Alabama for the past four years. During her time at UNA, Lillian compiled an impressive resume that included two ASUN Freshman of the Week honors, selection to the ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2019, and finished with her name etched in the record book for her top 25 times in the 6k and 4k distances. Humpries was also an integral part of three team victories for the Lions. She was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and served as the Community Service Officer.
“Lillian already has an understanding of the expectations and standards we have at Jacksonville State due to her previous experience as a cross country student athlete while I was coaching at North Alabama," said head coach Jeremy Provence. "She is someone who works hard and has a passion for cross country and track and field. Lillian is a great communicator who is eager to learn. I look forward to working with her as we continue to elevate the cross country and track and field programs at Jacksonville State”.
Lillian will be working with both the cross country and track and field programs while pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Performance.
