2010: Appeared in all 30 matches and 108 of the Gamecocks’ 115 games as a junior…was third on the team in blocks with 45, 10 solo, for an average of 0.42 per set…averaged 1.60 kills per set after knocking down 173 kills, fifth on the team…had a .129 attack percentage…picked up 38 digs and 14 assists…averaged 1.51 kills and 0.40 blocks per set in conference matches…finished the season strong at the net, recording at least four blocks in her last three matches, including a season-high five against Tennessee Tech in the OVC Tournament on Nov. 18…knocked down a season-high 14 kills at Denver on Sept. 11 and recorded 10 kills twice, at Morehead State on Sept. 17 and vs. Tennessee Tech on Nov. 2…recorded at least one kill in all but one match.

2009: Appeared in 32 of the Gamecocks’ 35 matches and 90 games as a sophomore…averaged 1.16 kills per game on a .221 attack percentage, while averaging 0.41 blocks per game, which ranked fourth on the team…also picked up 31 digs and six service aces…recorded a season-high 13 kills on a .300 attack percentage and five blocks in a Sept. 5 win at Alabama…had 12 kills on Oct. 30 vs. Tennessee Tech…had all six service aces on the year against McNeese State on Sept. 4.

2008: Saw action in 26 of the Gamecocks’ 29 matches as a true freshman…had 78 kills for an average of 1.15per game, while also recording 15 assists, 14 digs and 29 blocks…knocked down nine kills in a match twice, vs. Tennessee Tech on Sept. 23 and at SE Missouri on Nov. 8…had four blocks at Murray State on Nov. 14 and four digs in the Sept. 23 TTU match.

Prep: Played six seasons at Edwardsburg High School in Edwardsburg, Mich….prepped for the Eddies under head coach Sarah Benjamin…as a senior, was named the team’s Most Valuable Player and was a first-team all-conference player after recording 562 kills on a .360 attack percentage, while also picking up 61 service aces and 138 blocks…was named to the Lakeshore Region’s High Performance All-star Team…also a first-team all-conference selection as a junior…named Athlete of the Week by the Edwardsburg Argus and the Southbend Tribune….also lettered in basketball and track at EHS and was all-conference in both…was the track team MVP as a junior and a state finalist as a freshman…played club volleyball for Midwest Juniors.

Personal: Born on June 3, 1990, in St. Charles, Mo….the daughter of Tony and Susan Koontz…has a younger sister, Allison…was an honor student at EHS and was a member of the National Honor Society…is majoring in graphic design at JSU.
