Jacksonville State head coach Steve Bieser reached into the minor league baseball ranks with Ari Adut joining the staff in charge of the Gamecock hitters.

Adut joins Jax State following two seasons with the Kansas City Royals organization, where he served as the hitting coach for the Columbia Fireflies. During his tenure, Adut developed bilingual (English and Spanish) hitting plans, designed and executed comprehensive practice programs, and maintained a detailed blueprint for long-term player development. He worked closely with the strength and conditioning staff to individualize movement preparation and incorporated advanced technology and data analytics to create objective, individualized plans.

Before his time with the Royals, Adut spent two years (2020–2022) with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, working with their minor league affiliates in Lakewood, New Jersey, and Clearwater, Florida. There, he crafted game-planning strategies against opposing pitchers and implemented a swing decision system that tracked player progress and regression through objective metrics.

Adut began his professional coaching career with the New York Yankees in 2019, where he worked at the Yankees’ Spring Training complex in Tampa, Florida. He employed core principles and philosophies with individualized plans for over 50 hitters at the Dominican Republic complex.

A native of California, Adut’s coaching career began at Los Angeles Valley College, where he served as an assistant baseball coach and strength and conditioning coach from 2015 to 2019. In addition to his on-field coaching, he worked as a Kinesiology and Adaptive Physical Education professor at Los Angels Valley College following his professional playing career in the Pecos League with the Alpine Cowboys and Garden City Wind.

Adut holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from East Central University (ECU) in Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University. While at ECU, he was a member of the baseball program and earned multiple academic honors, including selection to the All-Great American Conference Academic Team and the ECU President’s List in 2014 and 2015.
