HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Jacksonville State posted a final round of 303 to finish seventh at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, played at the par 72, 6915 yard Hattiesburg Country Club.
New Orleans won the 14-team event with a total of 868 to finish four shots ahead of Middle Tennessee Sate. Arkansas State finished third with an 881, while Illinois State and Austin Peay tied for fourth at 884. Southern Miss was sixth at 888 and the Gamecocks posted a 54-hole total of 889 to finish seventh.
Hunter Hawkins led the Gamecocks with a three-round total of 222 to tie for 16th place, while
Mark Whisenant and
Tom Robson both carded a 226 to tie for 37th place.
Gonzalo Berlin finished tied for 48th with a 227, while Daniel Glidwell posted a 230.
The Gamecocks completed their fall schedule with The Sam Hall Intercollegiate and will return to action in the Spring.
