JACKSONVILLE – Due to the threat of rain on Tuesday, the Jacksonville State softball team's home opener with Alabama A&M has been pushed back one day to Wednesday at 2 p.m. at University Field. The Stadium Dedication ceremony will be postponed to a later home game.

The Gamecocks were scheduled to open their newly renovated home on Tuesday with a doubleheader at 4 p.m., but the forecast calls for showers during the day. The two will now play the twinbill one day later.

The stadium dedication ceremony, which was scheduled for 3:30 p.m., will be rescheduled for a later home game and will be announced on www.jsugamecocksports.com when rescheduled.
