BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Jacksonville State's Anne Albrecht has been named the Ohio Valley Conference's adidas® Female Golfer of the Week for her performance over the weekend, the league office announced on Wednesday.
 
Albrecht, a freshman from Winsen, Germany, received her first career OVC Golfer of the Week honor after claiming a 10th-place finish at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate earlier in the week.
 
She fired rounds of 74-73-76 to finish at 223 (+7) on the par-72, 6,164-yard layout at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga., finishing tied for 10th in the 90-player field. She rallied to shoot two under over the final six holes and led the Gamecocks to an eighth-place finish in their final regular season tournament of the year.
 
Albrecht becomes the fifth Jacksonville State golfer to claim Golfer of the Week honors in the 2013-14 season and the third member of the JSU women's team to earn the honor. She enters the OVC Championship in three weeks ranked fourth in the OVC with a 75.0 stroke average.
