Jacksonville State will face Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m., right after the Georgia Tech vs Washington games, which will begin at 1 p.m.
Jacksonville State, which is making its fourth NCAA Division I Regional appearance, will start junior right-hander Zachary Fowler. Fowler (7-7) pitched 7 2/3 innings in JSU's OVC Championship game victory over Tennessee Tech last Sunday, allowing just five hits and striking out six.
Ole Miss, ranked No. 10 in the country, will start Chris Ellis (9-1) who has a 2.17 earned run average in 95.1 inning of work.
Ole Miss is 3-0 all-time vs. Jacksonville State, with the Rebels sweeping the Gamecocks in a three-game series to open the 2002 season. The game will be carried live on ESPN3, and can be heard on the JSU Radio Network.
