TROY, Ala. – The Jacksonville State soccer team closed out the Trojan Classic with a 1-0 loss to Troy on Sunday afternoon.
The Gamecocks dropped to 1-3 on the season, while the Trojans moved to 3-1 overall.
A Trojan goal in the 71st minute proved to be the difference in the contest. Troy's Qarli Stone turned in her first goal of the season after a one-touch finish near the penalty spot in the box. Kate Lorenz was credited with the assist on the goal.
