Jacksonville State Game Notes | ULM Game Notes
JACKSONVILLE – Due to inclement weather, tonight's men's basketball game between the Jacksonville State and ULM has been postponed until Saturday, December 9 at 1 p.m. at Pete Mathews Coliseum. Admission to Saturday's game is free.
The Gamecocks (6-2) look to remain undefeated at home, sporting a 3-0 record at The Pete this season. JSU most recently rolled Samford 89-58 for its third win of 30 or more points, downing the Bulldogs for the first time in more than a decade.
Senior guard Malcolm Drumwright leads a powerful Jacksonville State offense that is averaging 17.4 more points per game vs. its opponents. As a whole, the Gamecocks are averaging 81.9 points per game, and Drumwright paces the squad with 14.0 points per contest. He, along with senior Norbertas Giga (11.8) and Jamall Gregory (10.5) represent three of five starters averaging double-digits points each game.
On defense, Gregory and junior Christian Cunningham have terrorized opposing offenses. Cunningham ranks among the nation's top shot-blockers with 16 blocks and has a team-best 57 rebounds, and Gregory has accounted for 11 blocks and a team-leading 11 steals.
The Warhawks (3-4) come into the game in search of their first win away from Monroe having lost three road games. Like JSU, ULM has three averaging double-figures on its roster in Travis Munnings (15.4), Marvin Jean-Pierre (15.1) and Sam McDaniel (14.9).
