JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team earned back-to-back wins Friday and Saturday to bring the regular season to a close. The Gamecocks enter next week's OVC Championships as the No. 3 seed following its 4-3 Friday win over Belmont and Saturday shutout of Tennessee State.
 
Jacksonville State is set to take on No. 6-seeded Tennessee State on Friday at 2 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn. With a win, JSU will move on to face No. 2-seeded Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at 2 p.m. The championship match is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Jacksonville State 4, Belmont 3
The Gamecocks picked up a one-point win over the Bruins on Friday, earning their third OVC win of the season. Despite Belmont taking the doubles point, JSU took four singles points from the No. 3 position to the No. 6 spot.

JSU swept the Tigers 7-0 in the final match of the season, improving its overall record to 11-8 and conference record to 4-2. TSU and the Gamecocks are set to meet again next week at the OVC Championships in Nashville.
