MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the second time in a week, the Jacksonville State softball team has had an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader canceled by wet conditions.
 
The Gamecocks' doubleheader on Saturday at Morehead State was canceled due to unplayable conditions after steady rain soaked University Field on the MSU campus. Standing water remained on the playing surface on Saturday, and attempts to remove the water were unsuccessful.
 
The first-place Gamecocks (34-10, 13-1 OVC) now turn their attention to Eastern Kentucky, who they will face in Richmond, Ky., on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT. The doubleheader between JSU and the Colonels will be streamed live at ovcdigitalnetwork.com.
