Jacksonville State looks to improve to 3-0 n Ohio Valley Conference play, while the Tigers are looking to pick up their first league win.
JSU is 2-0 to begin conference play for the second consecutive year under head coach Ray Harper, earning home wins over Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State in the league's openers last week. The Ohio Valley's statistical categories are populated mainly by the Gamecocks, as the program leads the league in five categories. JSU own's the OVC's top scoring defense, rebounding margin, blocked shots per game mark, field-goal percentage and field-goal percentage defense. The Gamecocks are also the NCAA's ninth-best rebounding squad, boasting a rebounding margin of 9.6. Junior Christian Cunningham leads the JSU roster with 110 total rebounds this season.
