COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Jacksonville State men's basketball team takes on Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Feb. 24 in the final regular-season matchup of the year at the Hooper Eblen Center at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight's game will help decide the Gamecocks' seeding in the upcoming Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in Evansville, Ind. Thursday's 78-67 win over Belmont forced a scenario in which the Gamecocks can enter the OVC Championships as the No. 4 seed with a first-round bye, but help will be needed to achieve the higher seeding. Belmont must defeat Tennessee State in its game Saturday night at the Curb Event Center, while Jacksonville State must defeat the Golden Eagles.

The Gamecocks are also in search of their first back-to-back 20-win season in the program's Division I history. Jacksonville State has not won 20 games in consecutive seasons since Bill Jones accomplished the feat in 1990-91 and 1991-92. A win tonight would hand JSU just its third 20-win campaign since joining the Division I ranks, and second 20-win season under head coach Ray Harper.
The Gamecocks have bested the Golden Eagles in three of the past five games, taking the first matchup of the season 82-65 over TTU at Pete Mathews Coliseum. Two of JSU's last three wins over Tech have come at "The Hoop," not falling in Cookeville, Tenn., since the 2016 season.
Tickets are now available for purchase online at JSUGamecocksTickets.com, by phone at (256) 782-8499 and on campus at the JSU Ticket Office at Kennamer Hall. Children 18-years-old and under and JSU students are admitted free.
