CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team was unable to snap a two-match skid Sunday, falling 6-1 to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at the UTC Tennis Courts.
The Gamecocks' (7-3) lone point came on a two-set win with Sergio Lizarraga topping the Mocs' Pablo Llebeili at No. 5 singles. Lizarraga won the first set 6-1 and took the second 7-6 following a 7-4 playoff to decide the point.
The win was Lizarraga's fifth of the season as he improved to 5-2 overall and at the No. 5 position. He is currently tied for third among Gamecocks for the most singles wins this season.
