JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State women's track and field team hosts the JSU Girls' Day Out meet at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala., on Saturday.
Â
The unique competition will feature only women's teams from competing teams such as Mercer, Chattanooga and West Georgia. Other schools across the state were unable to identify a similar event in the past, making this potentially the first collegiate meet in the state of Alabama to feature only women's teams.
Â
Live results will be available at JSUGamecockSports.com. Final results will also be posted on the web and sent out to participating teams following the conclusion of the meet.
Â
The Gamecocks are coming off strong outings at Mississippi State's Bulldogs Relays and the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla., last weekend and have set new personal records in the field and on the track in the early outdoor schedule.
