HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Jacksonville State men's tennis got back on track Saturday with a 4-0 win at Alabama A&M.

The Gamecocks (6-1) wrapped up a three-match road weekend with the win over the Bulldogs (0-3), going 2-1 on the swing between Nicholls State, New Orleans and AAMU. Jax State took the doubles point in just two sets and claimed three singles points to secure its sixth win of the season.

Joaquin Vallejo and
Sergio Lizarraga won the first doubles set 7-5 over Cheng Chang Yang and Panji Setiawan.
Aljaz Kaplja and
Thomas Norwood finished up with a 6-2 win at No. 2 against Cristian Bigott and Rodrigo Arana Rios.
Guillermo Agost and
Jordi Blanchar's match at No. 3 went unfinished after the deciding set.

Wins at No. 3, 4 and 6 in singles secured the win for Jacksonville State, while the other three contests went unfinished. Kaplja took down Rios 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 to remain undefeated this season, and Blanchar nearly shut out German Ruiz Crespo (6-1, 6-0) at No. 4.

Agustin Suarez finished the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Joshua Wilson at No. 6 in his Gamecock debut.

Jacksonville State's next match is Wednesday at North Alabama at 10 a.m. in Florence, Ala. After that, the Gamecocks return home Thursday, Feb. 27 to host Alabama State at 1:30 p.m.
