JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State men's and women's tennis teams will compete at the ITA Southern Regionals Thursday-Tuesday.
The JSU men's tennis squad will travel to Auburn University for the ITA Southern Regionals while the women will visit the University of Alabama.
The men's tennis tournament will be hosted by Auburn at the Yarbrough Tennis center. Admission is free.
The participating teams on the men's side include Alabama. Alabama State, Alcorn State, Auburn, Louisiana, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, Tulane, UAB and the Gamecocks.
The tournament will begin on Thursday with the qualifying singles bracket. Main draw action will begin on Saturday and the finals are set for Tuesday.

Maj Tomac,
Thomas Norwood, Vincente Arbelaez and
Jordi Blanchar have received preliminary byes and will begin action late in the morning and early in the afternoon, Thursday.
Alexander Vishnevskiy will face Nicholas Rodriguez of Troy in the preliminary round at 9 a.m. Thursday.
On the women's side, there are 18 teams competing that include Alabama, Alcorn State, Auburn, Louisiana, Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, LSU, McNeese State, Mississippi State, Northwestern State, Ole Miss, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, UAB, Troy, Tulane, and the Gamecocks.
Including qualifying matches, there will be 113 singles players and 49 doubles teams competing at the tournament.
Qualifying singles rounds will begin on Thursday while doubles will begin Friday. The finals will take place on Tuesday.
