DALLAS, Texas- Jacksonville State's women's tennis team has earned the five-seed in the 2026 CUSA Women's Tennis Championship Bracket. The tennis championship is hosted by Middle Tennessee.

The Gamecocks, who finished the regular season with a 12-6 record, will take on the four-seeded Delaware Blue Hens (19-4) on Thursday, April 16, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The winner of Thursday's match will move on to the quarterfinals of the tournament on Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m.

Louisiana Tech took the one-seed in the tournament, Florida International is the two-seed, Kennesaw State is the three-seed, Liberty is the six-seed, New Mexico State is the seven-seed, Western Kentucky is the eight-seed, Sam Houston is the nine-seed, Middle Tennessee is the 10-seed, and Missouri State is the 11 seed to round out the field.

Jax State had a good season in singles play as they went 47-34. In doubles, the Gamecocks went 29-16 as a team. In singles,
Sae Kaneko had a team-best 12-2 record. Meanwhile,
Irene Artigas followed Kaneko with a 10-1 mark on the year.
Aneka Patel and
Polina Ramenskaja both went 7-6,
Emma Montagner was 4-3,
Isabella Sambola was 3-6,
Alba Roche was 2-3, and
Angeles Rodriguez-Rizo was 2-7, respectively.

Kaneko and Ramenskaja both had 12 wins in doubles play this season. Kaneko went 12-4, while Ramenskaja went 12-6. Artigas was 11-2, Patel was 11-5, Rodriguez-Rizo was 6-4, Sambola was 4-2, Montagner was 2-5, and Roche was 0-4 in doubles play.

The doubles pairing of Ramenskaja/Patel had a team-best 11-5 record together. Artigas/Kaneko teamed up for a 6-0 mark, Artigas/Sambola were 4-1 together, and Rodriguez-Rizo/Kaneko were 6-4.
