Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team tossed its third shutout of the season Friday, winning 7-0 over Austin Peay at the Governors Tennis Courts.

The Gamecocks (8-4, 2-0 OVC) earned their second Ohio Valley Conference victory without allowing the Governors (1-8, 1-1 OVC) to win a single set. Jax State quickly claimed the doubles point in two sets and moved on to singles action where it took all six matchups in two-set wins.

Joaqin Vallejo earned his ninth win of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 showing at No. 1. His win over Frederic Schlossmann was the first singles victory of the day for JSU.

Guillermo Agost won 6-4, 6-3 over Anton Damberg at No. 3, pushing his wins total to eight for the year.
Thomas Norwood claimed the match for the Gamecocks moments later with his two-set win over Gabriel Nolasco Pozo at No. 5. Norwood won both sets with a 6-1 score.

Jordi Blanchar defeated Oliver Andersson and Jacob Lorino 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, and Vallejo and
Maj Tomac remained dominate at No. 3 doubles with a 6-1 win over Pozo and Thiago Nogueira.

Jacksonville State continues its five-match road swing Saturday, April 3 when it visits Tennessee Tech. The OVC match in Cookeville, Tennessee does not yet have a start time.
