SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jacksonville State aims to extend its winning streak on Thursday night when it faces a tough road environment inside Utah's Huntsman Center.
Â
The Gamecocks (4-4) face their first Pacific 12 Conference foe with the Utes (7-2) since falling by one point to Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore., on Dec. 12, 2017. The matchup against Utah, the first between the two schools, brings an end to JSU's stretch of five games played away from Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Â
The Utes, already 2-0 in conference play, are ranked 19th in the NCAA's initial NET rankings of the season this week, and are also receiving votes in the AP Top 25 poll. Facing one of the top rebounding teams in the nation, Jax State will need strong nights from leading scorers Skyelar Potter, Demaree King and Amanze Ngumezi. Potter leads the Gamecocks at 14.5 points per game following his career-high 27 at East Tennessee State on Saturday.
Â
Thursday's game is set to tip at 8 p.m. MT/9:00 CT and airs across the Pac-12 Networks. Drew Goodman and Casey Jacobsen will have the broadcast call, while Mike Parris calls the action over the Gamecock Sports Network. Live stats are available at JSUGamecockSports.com.
